Council for Science and Technology Report published
The Council for Science and Technology (CST) has published its report on the water sector – Improving Innovation in the Water Sector; 21st Century Challenges and Opportunities. The recommendations of the report include; changes to economic regulation to stimulate investment in research and innovation; the need for improved national coordination of water research; the need to address skill shortages; opportunities to develop low carbon technologies.
CST’s remit is to advise the Prime Minister and the First Ministers of the devolved administrations on strategic issues that cut across the responsibilities of individual government departments.
