Can you get involved with UKWIR?

If you are working for a member UK Water Company, then yes. All of the projects in our research programme are guided by water company staff.  Working closely with our Programme Leads and Project Managers, you could be part of one of our Project Steering Groups.

Steering groups are responsible for guiding our research projects to achieve an industry-focussed outcome. This includes selecting specialist contractors who work for the project team and generating industry guidance that may be specific to your role. The guidance (steering) of this work is key to achieving successful, practicable and worthwhile outcomes from UKWIR projects.

The potential benefits to your knowledge and background of the topics we research will be considerable. Plus you have the opportunity to meet with fellow practitioners from other water companies and the specialist contractors undertaking the research.

To join a Project Steering Group you will need to contact your UKWIR R&D Manager. If you don't know who your R&D Manager is then please contact us at mail@ukwir.org.uk and we will be more than happy to assist.
