Irish Water have joined UKWIR!

UKWIR would like to extend a warm welcome to our new member company, Irish Water.

Irish Water took over responsibility for public water and wastewater services from the local authorities in January 2014 and currently serves a population of 4.3 million people.

John Casey, Asset Strategy & Sustainability Manager at Irish Water, and UKWIR Board member, has said; "We are delighted to be joining UKWIR. Membership of UKWIR will enable us to benefit from 20 years of research carried out for the UK water industry. It will also enable us to build relationships with our counterparts in the UK water and sewerage companies and to play our part in future common research programmes for the benefit of our customers."
